“Just a brilliant place & congratulations to all who put in building this attraction. Keep up the good work. The volunteers are very friendly and helpful.”
“This was a real treat even for the second time round ... the reception staff were very friendly and happy for us to leave our motorcycle gear in their office, also leaving and coming back after lunch. The display of the mining accident was excellent ... and once past all that everything else was interesting. The entry cost was very reasonable and had a wonderful day out.”
“Had a great holiday. Thanks to all. Very interactive & interesting. GREAT displays!”
“This centre provides a very comprehensive display of mining, and old time artifacts. You enter a museum first, and then onto special walkways which go through mining sites which still have the machinery in place. The displays and information is very interesting. The museum houses a cross section of mining and social history. They also have a very comprehensive souvenir and gift shop. A very well done site.”
“EXCELLENT! My wife and I found it fascinating. Did not realise it would be as big as it is and with all the old features make it more promising.”
“Very enjoyable and helpful staff. Well worth visiting and will recommend to others.”
